God's creation continually amazes me – just look at the spiritual, emotional, social and physical nature of the human race. And just as we recognize the complexity of humanity, we must also recognize the complexity of poverty.
At FH Canada this complexity compels us to view individuals and communities not through one lens of human nature but all – we refer to this idea as holistic. This method – caring for all facets of a person's nature instead of just one – is central to our vision.
We recognize that there are many types of hunger and no single cause to the devastating cycle of poverty afflicting so many regions of the world. This causes us to believe that there is no single solution to assisting families and communities – but instead a myriad of programs and practices designed to bring hope to all areas of a person's life.
True partnerships see transformation take place in the lives of all involved. We are constantly learning from the amazing people in the communities where we work. We understand that we cannot impact a community on our own. That is why we work with families, churches and community leaders whenever we enter a new program area. That is also why we need and appreciate you. Together, we are able to learn from each other as we work to end the devastating cycle of poverty.
Taking hope to the hard places is not a simple calling but it is indeed a responsibility placed on us all. Your support helps make our holistic approach to long term transformation possible. Thank you for walking with us as we deliver hope to the whole person.
